In the food industry, the most common wastewater solution is Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF). It is specifically designed to remove oil and grease, solids, and reduce BOD.  Typically solids do not settle nor float very well in food wastewater applications.  Solids have an identity crisis when combined with oils.  They don't know if they want to rise or settle.   A DAF will float everything in the wastewater stream, solving that problem.

We are tremendously proud to share with you that CNN aired an exciting feature about our company, Desalitech.   The feature calls specific attention to our groundbreaking 98% water recovery rates.   CNN covered Desalitech as a part of their feature on the "Brew the Charles" competition during HUBweek last month.  Over the summer, we pulled water from Boston's Charles River, treated it with one of our ReFlex reverse osmosis systems at a rate of 98% water recovery, and gave the highly purified water to six different Massachusetts-based breweries who competed to see who could make the finest brew.

While the competition was a lot of fun, and the beer was delicious - we did this not just because we were thirsty but rather to call attention to the way the world treats and reuses one of its most precious resources.   We asked these breweries to reimagine their conventional water sources and rethink the way that industry can save energy, water, and money by reusing and recovering more water than ever possible before.
